Jersey City Medical Center partnered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson and Union counties, and Grove Street Bicycle Shop, to bring smiles to the faces of four lucky children.With wrench and screwdriver in hand, four teams comprised of doctors, nurses, hospital management and administrators competed in a race to put bicycles together.
Once completed, four Jersey City students from Public School #3, Catherine Benitez, Tiana Benitez, Isaiah Dudley and Biana Kelly were asked to assume the role of "bike inspectors." The students were then given the bicycles free of charge.
