An Open Letter to the People of the City of Newark

By now, we all know about the hazing incident which occurred on Sunday at our EMS Headquarters. As a Paramedic who works in your city, and as a Field Training Officer for the Paramedic Students, I am angry, embarrassed, and sorry. I am sorry this happened; it should not in this day and age, and sure as hell not in Newark. The students come down to practice their skills and to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience working in the busiest system (per capita) in the nation.
