An East Windsor woman suffered head injuries when her car hit a tree on Princeton-Hightstown Road Monday morning, police said.About 9:25 a.m., 31-year-old Anitha Gambira Pati was driving eastbound on the road near McGetrick Lane when her car went off the highway and ended up resting against a tree. The driver's side impact, police said, gave Pati facial and head wounds, as well as possible internal injuries. Her car was totaled, with heavy damage to the front and rear doors on the driver's side, according to police.

New Jersy Emt's & paramedics found Pati conscious inside the car, but not communicating clearly.She was splinted with a K.E.D and collerd then extricated from the car and taken to Capital Health System at Fuld hospital, where she was listed in guarded condition. Police said it was believed her injuries were not life-threatening.

With Pati unable to be interviewed during the day on Monday, the cause of the crash remains unknown
